JSU music education professor to be featured at two international conferences


JSU music education professor David Akombo

(JACKSON, Miss.) – Jackson State University assistant professor of music education David Akombo will be a featured clinician at the Hawaii International Music Educators Conference in Honolulu February 18 and 19. There he will deliver the presentation, “A Multicultural Approach, Interpretation and Teaching of World Music Through Band Literature.”

Before the Honolulu conference, Akombo will deliver a presentation titled “Scholarship in Diversity” on February 15 at the National Association of African American Studies at Baton Rogue, La.
