(JACKSON, Miss.) – The Jackson State University Public Policy and Administration (PPAD) Toastmasters Club has achieved Select Distinguished status for its achievements in the 2010-2011 Toastmasters International Distinguished Club Program. This prestigious honor is awarded to those clubs that have met at least seven of the goals set by Toastmasters International.
Organized in March 2010, the Jackson State PPAD Toastmasters Club meets at 5:15 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month in the computer lab at JSU’s Universities Center campus, 3825 Ridgewood Road in Jackson. The club has 22 members.
Club officers for 2011-2012 are Tamara Jackson (president), Patricia Jackson (secretary), Candace Hampton (vice president of education), Jamonica Jenkins (vice president of public relations), Felicia Estes (vice president of membership) and Bamba Gaye (sergeant at arms).
