Social work professor elected to leadership post

Susie A. Spence, Professor of Social Work and Health Sciences, was recently elected to serve as a member of the Group for Doctoral Education in Social Work (GADE) Steering Committee. GADE consists of social work/social welfare doctoral programs located at accredited universities/colleges that offer the master of social work or social welfare degree program that is fully accredited by the Council of Social Work Education or a comparable national professional body in other countries.

Spence also was recently honored as one of the inaugural alumni inducted in the College of Arts and Sciences Gallery of Distinction at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She joined other inaugural and recent inductees who were recognized for their outstanding scholarship/research, service and teaching.
