Otha Burton, Jr., Associate Dean of the School of Policy and Planning, and Chair of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning in the College of Public Service, has been appointed this year to the Planning Accreditation Board’s (PAB) “Educator Member of the Site Visit Pool.”
The Site Visit Pool consists of educators and practitioners who act as an extension of the PAB. Their primary role is to ensure that the accreditation guidelines and criteria set forth by the PAB are being met in accordance with the mission and goals stated by the programs seeking accreditation or reaccreditation. Members visit universities around the country, meet planners, educators, students and community leaders, and gather new ideas and perspectives on planning.
